New Controllers are on the way!

A huge thanks to Jeff, K4GSU, for hooking us up with a pair of KK Multicopter controllers and a USB program cable. Can’t wait for the UPS man to deliver them. We will post more and some of the test results as soon as the boards come in and are setup. Stay Tuned!

Time To Regroup

Combots is fast approaching and despite our best efforts the Hexacopter isn’t quite ready for battle. Members of the team will be traveling to California in October to the competition and will be taking notes on weapon systems and other requirements for battle. Our new goal is to be ready for April’s competition.

Here is a video from a GoPro camera mounted on the Hexacopter, This was a quick test run, reaching a top altitude of about 15 feet. During this round the only damage sustained was bent landing gear. On a test flight the next day, not filmed, we lost 2 counter clock wise blades when making a quick landing to avoid a clothesline.
